Agency Republic is a digital creative agency based in Battersea, London. Since our birth in 2001, we've done lots of different things. Banners, websites, widgets, viral films, microsites, brand comms, RM, Facebook apps, mobile, 'social objects' - whatever the new thing's been (and mostly well ahead of the crowd).

What's never changed is our approach. We believe any digital communication is at its most powerful when it moves you. Makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you excited, makes you mad. Real effectiveness comes from emotional engagement. That's why it's always been at the heart of what we do.

What are we looking for?

  • Account Director

    We are looking for an Account Director who has significant digital and direct marketing experience. You will be responsible for developing Agency Republic’s relationship with one of the world’s largest telcos.

    The Role

    The account stretches across the customer journey from acquisition to retention and encompasses every touch point from web to mobile, display, social and email channels.

    The Account Director will be the critical member of the team. He/she will ensure excellence is achieved in all aspects of campaign delivery and work with the Business Director and Planning to drive the account forward strategically.

    Client Responsibility

    • Main point of contact on campaign delivery
    • Interface with a wide range of client from 'Head Of' down to 'Marketing Executive' level
    • Enhance the Agencies reputation for delivering sector leading digital acquisition and retention marketing communications to brief, schedule and budget
    • Helping to set and deliver the clients digital direct marketing strategy

    Team Responsibility

    • Managing more junior members of the client service team
    • Working in close collaboration with Agency Republic’s strategy, creative and project management teams
    • Ensuring we're working in close collaboration with a number of 3rd party agencies

    Agency Responsibility

    • Driving initiatives that help ensure Agency Republic is the lead agency partner for the world's most connected brands
    • Manage forecast on a daily and weekly basis and contribute to hitting the account revenue targets

  • Senior Technologist

    We are looking for a Senior PHP developer with strong leadership skills to join our multidisciplinary technical team. Reporting to the Head of Technology you will join one of the most passionate and exciting teams in Digital Advertising.

    The Role

    The primary focus of the role will be to architect, develop and support the PHP back‐end for sites and apps across a range of devices and platforms. Technical excellence in LAMP technologies supported by 5+ years commercial experience is essential to the role. You’ll be an advocate for writing clean, readable, maintainable code in collaboration with other developers. Your core skill set will be complimented with expertise across a range of additional languages and frameworks.

    This is a senior role that requires much more than just technical mastery. Digital agency experience is extremely desirable. The technical team are integral to the development of concepts and ideas, as well as interaction design, technical architecture and coding. You will collaborate with Creatives, Strategists and Designers, as well as other Technologists to deliver innovative solutions and engaging user experiences.

    Your Technical Skills:

    • Mastery of object‐oriented PHP 5 within a MVC framework (CodeIgniter/Kohana experience preferred)
    • MySQL Server with pure SQL and ORMs e.g. PHP ActiveRecord
    • Linux and Apache sys‐admin skills, comfortable working in Terminal
    • Deep understanding of architecture for scalable web applications, security, cloud based servers, load balancing etc.
    • Unit Testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • Version control with Subversion and Git
    • Automated deployment with Capistrano (or similar)
    • JavaScript including JQuery and AJAX techniques
    • Standards‐compliant XHTML and CSS (HTML 5 and CSS3 a bonus)
    • Knowledge of W3C Accessibility standards, cross browser compliance and testing
    • Recent experience developing with the Facebook platform e.g. Social Plugins, Apps, Open Graph
    • Additional skills in the following areas a big plus: Ruby on Rails, Silverstripe CMS, NodeJS, Objective‐C for iOS or Java for Android

  • Client Service Intern

    We're looking for a smart and enthusiastic intern to join our client service team. It is a paid internship, and we are able to offer £150 per week to help towards expenses. Ideally someone would be with us for up to 3 months. There is potential for this to be a permanent role if things go well.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for supporting the client service team across a number of our flagship accounts:

    • Liaison with day to day client contacts, both over the phone and face to face at client meetings
    • Co‐ordinating and setting up internal and external meetings including client status meetings
    • Monitoring competitive activity, preparing competitive reports and analysis
    • Producing status and contact reports and distributing to all meeting attendees
    • Assisting with research and compilation of data for reporting purposes

  • Digital & Direct Art Director

    We are looking for a keen middle‐weight Art Director with experience in developing Direct Marketing campaigns to play a key role in servicing one of Agency Republic's most important clients.

    They should have around 4 years experience. They must be hard working, motivated and take direction well.

    Experience working with large Direct Response campaigns (this is a large part of the role) and an eye for detail is essential.

    The Role

    Lead Creative on Vodafone. This will involve:

    • Developing Digital Direct Marketing creative concepts for large scale campaigns executed in:
      • Direct Response banners (standard and rich media)
      • Emails and landing pages
      • Websites
    • Enhancing existing creative - making the ideas work harder
    • Developing brand and brand response work for Vodafone across all digital channels (display/web and social)
    • Working with writers within the existing creative department.

    Developing campaigns across the range of Clients within Agency Republic (Nivea/ Activia/ Danone/ Cancer Research/ COI). This would include:

    • Rich media brand communications
    • Social campaigns
    • Sites/ games/ etc

    We are looking for a senior planner to lead our direct output. This person will act as an integral part of our strategy team to ensure that we are delivering industry‐leading direct solutions.

    The Role

    Teamwork and flexibility are essential - the role requires the ability to work in partnership with team members across multiple departments to enable direct thinking and execution to be produced to the highest standard.
